How Do You Do?

Enchanting Excursions

Hi. I’m Emily. And this is a blog. There will be words. There will be pictures. There will awesome posts and there will be posts that fall flat.

But what I/we hope to put out into the world will be about life. Life is hard, life is messy, life is also joyous and amazing and exciting, and its all the in-between stuff too.

Have you ever met someone, or maybe you are familiar with a person, who makes you feel better when you leave their presence? You feel loved, you feel more like yourself? You have this crazy notion that you can go out and do something to save the world? I’d like for you to meet my friend, my confidant, my inspiration; Erin Mills ⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒⇒

I am constantly pushed and inspired (encouraged to greater effort, enthusiasm, or creativity) to be better, to do better. I don’t always know what that means, and I definitely don’t know what that means for me personally. But I’d like to find out. I’d like to explore that. Research it and then implement the things that apply to me, the things that make me go, “Oh! That fits!” And I hope that you will do the same.

I hope that by sharing all of this out into the void, that someone(s) will also be inspired to be better, and to do better.

Hey guys! I’m Erin! Welcome to Enchanting Excursions, an exciting foray into the world of blogging through the amazing Mills Hart & Company.

The chief brain behind this incredible company and website and blog is Emily. She has enough get up and go to run the world. She’s creative and innovative and smart and has so much beauty to share! She can take the forlorn and forgotten and give it new life and new purpose… which in our world right now, we can all use. She is amazingly inspirational.

I am a high school teacher by day, teaching English and Publications (yearbook, newspaper, and journalism) but by night I love to work with my hands. I love to garden and build things, restore things, paint things… all of the things. I have an amazing rescue pup, Junie B. She is a bullmastiff mutt and a 90lb lap dog. I own a house from 1929, named the Burrow, and it inspires a lot of my DIY adventures. I am currently planning a wedding with my best friend and love, Mr. LB.

It is important for me to leave things, and more importantly people, better than I found them. I want everyone I come into contact with to know how valuable they are. To know how loved they are.  How loved YOU are.

Our hope is to bring a little more fun and love into the world.
